Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kohima on 18/06/2026 conducted Khet Bachao Abhiyan a national flagship programme at Sishunu village. The programme emphasised on application of balance fertilizers by using biofertlizers, green manure, vermicompost etc. Demonstration on preparation of enriched manure were imparted. Farmers were also encourage to go for soil testing to get information on fertilizers recommendation on which fertilizers to use, in what quantity, which helps to take appropriate actions to boost their land productivity and improves sustainability. Besides integration of pulse crops in crop rotation for soil fertility management and biological pest management were also discussed.
